I spent my life painting a picture
Of me painting modern art
But they made modern art out of me
Modern art up for auction
All all pieces of art ever want
Is to end up at that big auction
So they can hang in living rooms
Numb inside, aesthetic outside
That’s when they realize
They could’ve stayed
With paints that created them
With brushes that troubled
But they smile
Act like they feel alive
That’s what the painting across the hall does
After all, dying sad is pretty sad right?
